Atlantic recording group HALESTORM has unveiled the first track “Get Lucky (Originally Performed By Daft Punk)” from their new EP,  “ReAniMate 2.0: The CoVeRs eP” which arrives October 15th.

The EP marks the acclaimed hard rock band’s first new release since their stunning GRAMMY® Awards triumph earlier this year, as well as the follow-up to 2011’s “ReAniMate: The CoVeRs eP.” As with its predecessor, “ReAniMate 2.0: The CoVeRs eP” sees Halestorm putting their distinctive brand on a strikingly eclectic collection of classic songs, including legendary tracks by Judas Priest, AC/DC, Pat Benatar, Fleetwood Mac, Marilyn Manson, and Daft Punk (see full tracklisting attached).

“Like our first ‘ReAniMate’ EP, the songs included here are a collection of both our favorite songs and songs to challenge ourselves,” said Halestorm frontwoman Lzzy Hale.  We decided to go more ‘bare bones’ with this EP, meaning minimal production with live, gritty performances.  We recorded this EP the week of the Grammys, so the excitement and debauchery you hear through your speakers is very real.  We hope all our fans have as much fun with ‘ReAniMate: 2.0’ as we did!”

GRAMMY AWARD-WINNING HALESTORM HEADLINES A NIGHT OF FEMALE-FRONTED ROCK AT LOS ANGELES’ WILTERN THEATRE ON WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 18TH

GRAMMY AWARD-WINNING HALESTORM HEADLINES A NIGHT OF FEMALE-FRONTED ROCK AT LOS ANGELES’ WILTERN THEATRE ON WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 18TH

METAL QUARTET EYES SET TO KILL LED BY RODRIGUEZ SISTERS SET TO OPEN THE SHOW.

GRAMMY award-winning rock band HALESTORM is coming to Los Angeles and bringing with them a full night of total female rock domination.

All three bands performing at the Wiltern Theatre on Wednesday, Sept. 18th are female-fronted and female guitar players.

Basically one night of bad ass chicks shredding Los Angeles.

HALESTORM’S LZZY HALE has not only appeared on the cover of REVOLVER but she’s been named their #1 “Hottest Chick in Hard Rock.” Upon its release last spring, THE STRANGE CASE OF, the second album from Atlantic Records artist HALESTORM, shot to the #1 slot on Billboard’s Hard Rock Albums chart. The first single, “Love Bites (So Do I),” marked the first song by a female fronted group to top the active rock chart, and earned the band a Grammy award for Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance.  The song was also the #1 song of 2012 on SiriusXM’s Octane. The band’s second single “Freak Like Me” has already hit #1 on the Active Rock chart and their third single “Here’s To Us” is climbing the charts now. Halestorm’s next release sees the band putting their distinctive brand an eclectic collection of classic songs for their “ReAniMate 2.0: The CoVeRs eP” due October 15th.

EYES SET TO KILL will open the show. The four-piece metal band is led by ALEXIA RODRIGUEZ’S piercing vocal prowess. With stellar musicianship, mature songwriting and an adrenaline-charged resonance, it’s clear this explosive quartet is on the verge of redefining the genre. The band will be supporting their new album MASKS due September 17th.

Shhhhhh!

I have a little something being published soon, can’t get into details, but it is cool. Also I have a great interview coming up, getting to spend the day with someone awesome.

I will keep ya posted.

I always wonder why I have no real comments, I just looked in spam and there are some slick entries out there, be careful.

#TheLetter and I need a JOB.

Image
OK, I am just putting this out there because so many of you are following me from “The Letter“, I need a paying gig and the support the other EDS’ers give and help as much. If anyone out there has contacts with a rock themed website or magazine interested in hiring a disabled vet/writer/photographer, PLEASE let me know.

I am currently freelance and the only compensation I get are free tickets, swag, inside information and copies of the magazine. I have to foot my own travel and accommodations, set up everything for interviews and photo shoots, wheel and deal with PR people.

Not looking to get rich quick, I just want some compensation and recognition for all the work I do. Sure it is nice to go to free shows and meet big rock stars, but it is hard work doing it all on my own when my only income is a disability check every month that barely covers my bills. I LOVE what I am doing now, I want it to last. I have so many things I could potentially do, but I want it to be seen.

So, if you like my photos or ”  #TheLetter ” and have a lot of followers, or happen to know an editor somewhere, reblog this or introduce me to them. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart. I haven’t been using Twitter much and am not really confident of my ability to use it productively  but I promise if any opportunities arise from this there will be MANY more awesome photos and good posts, I think they are good, to come and you could help me stay in my Dream Job.

Thank you Everyone.
